Bio: In Russ Hopkins, the Lunkers add a lot of versatility and athleticism on the diamond. The Rutgers Scarlet Knight, Hopkins is a big, 6-6 corner infielder who has a lot of pop in his lumber. After receiving several area and regional honors at Piscataway High School, where he also was a contributing member on the school's football team, the Scarlet Knights decided to redshirt Hopkins during his first year on campus. In 2010, Russ hit .333, collecting two home runs with three stolen bases.
