Lunkers Drop Opener

BRAINERD Minnesota--Nick Sutherland's second win of the season against the Lunkers powered the River Bats to a 6-2 victory.
The Bats got three hits from Steve Nyisztor and Mitch Garver, as they overcame an early deficit to collect their ninth win of the season.
Brian Russell went five innings, giving up three runs, in the losing effort. It was his second loss of the season, both coming against St. Cloud.
In a losing effort, Matt Hillsinger's RBI single in the second extended his hitting streak to nine games. Tommy Reyes and Vince Bruno collected two hits each, their first multi-hit games of the season.
