2010 Promotional Schedule Released

(BRAINERD LAKES AREA) - The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers announced their 2010 promotional schedule today according to owner and general manager Joel Sutherland. The Lunkers promotional schedule is loaded with special guests, giveaways and theme nights.
The promotional schedule is highlighted with special guests including former Twins players, Hall-of-Fame wrestler Sgt. Slaughter, Elvis, and James Best, the actor who played Roscoe P. Coltrane on the hit T.V. show Dukes of Hazzard. Over 20 of the 35 regular scheduled games will have a giveaway for the 1st 300 fans. These include full-sized wood baseball bats, bobbers, fly swatters, replica jerseys, and umbrellas to name a few. The Lunkers will also have several theme nights including a Summertime St. Paddy's Day where the players wear green shirts and green hats and the fans will get to enjoy Irish music and green beer.
"Promotions are what separates the Northwoods League from other similar leagues throughout the country," assistant general manager Dustin Anaas stated. "Each of our 35 home games has its own unique promotion which we hope will translate into 35 nights of family fun. The Lunkers promotional schedule has a night for everyone, and we're very excited to bring Northwoods League baseball back to the Lakes Area for 2010 and many years to come," Anaas added.
The entire 2010 promotional schedule is listed on www.lunkersbaseball.com. The Lunkers Home Opener presented by Cub Foods is Thursday, June 3 at Stewart C. Mills Field. Game time is at 7:05pm. Tickets will be available beginning May 10 at the Lunkers ticket office located at Mills Field or by calling 218-824-3474.
