BRAINERD Minnesota--Willmar knocked Lunkers pitchers around for a second straight game as get the 11-4 win behind 18 hits.
The Stingers defeated the the Lunkers two All-Star pitchers--Kyle Teague lost last night and Nick Anderson (3-1) suffers his first loss of the season after giving up five runs in 5.1 innings.
Matt Collins (2-0) surrendered the Stingers 3-1 lead when the Lunkers scored three runs on six hits against the righty, but Collins settled down and did not allow a hit during the rest of his six inning outing.
The first four batters in Willmar's combined for 14 hits, with the first and second batters--Carlos Leyva and Isaac Ballou, respectively--collecting four hits each.
Ballou was the star, offensively, as he had six RBIs on the afternoon.
Chadd Krist had another good game, going 3-for-4 with a couple of RBIs. Stephen Wickens also had three hits and a walk.
With the loss, the Lunkers have now dropped six of seven against Willmar on the season.
The Lunkers head to Rochester for the first time tomorrow, as they will begin a quick three-game road trip against the Honkers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 from Mayo Field.
