BRAINERD Minnesota--Tonight's scheduled game between the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers and the Alexandria Beetles was suspended due to rain and lightning in the middle of the fifth inning.
Though details must still be confirmed, the tentative plan is to resume the game when the Beetles return to Brainerd on August 4th. The game will begin at 6:05 p.m., with a seven inning game scheduled to follow the completion of the suspended game, twenty minutes after the final out is recorded.
When play resumes, the Lunkers will send up T.J. Berge, Levi Ferguson and Stephen Wickens in the bottom of the fifth, with the Beetles leading 2-1.
Before the game was suspended, Vince Bruno hit his second home run of the season off of Beetles All-Star right-handed pitcher, Sander Beck.
Fans with proof of admission to tonight's scheduled ballgame will be admitted into the games on August 4th. For any questions, comments, or concerns, please call the Lunkers offices at (218) 824-FISH.
